Fox Dance Academy Competition Team

2026–2027 Season

Who:
Dancers ages 5–18 with at least one year of prior dance experience.

What:
A competitive dance team for dedicated dancers in Bryan, TX who are committed to strong technical training and performance growth. Team dancers are required to take multiple weekly technique classes based on team placement:

Ember Squad / Red Tails: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and one additional style
Spry Fox / WildFire Crew: Ballet, Jazz, and one additional style

This structure supports technical foundation, versatility, and performance readiness.

Why:
Ideal for dancers who love performing, are motivated to be challenged, and want to grow as artists in a positive, supportive, and disciplined team environment.

Cost:

Team membership: $30 per month
Required Competition Team Boot Camp: August 3–7, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Cost: $275
- Attendance is mandatory for all team members

Team Expectations

Compete at the Elite level, which requires a high level of commitment and consistent technical progression
Attend a minimum of two competitions and one convention each season
Attend required team performances when selected
Dancers are strongly encouraged to take as many classes as possible to support accelerated growth and Elite-level expectations
Dancers must own a Fox Dance Academy team jacket (same style as the 2025–2026 season)
Dancers must have all-black and black/hot pink dance attire for outside events

Nursing home performances in the spring

Highly Suggested Opportunities

Enrolling in unlimited classes, especially Stretch, Acro, and Leaps/Turns
Participation in intensives and master classes
Traveling to additional conventions

Additional Costs

Competition and convention entry fees
Travel and lodging expenses for out-of-town events

Ready to take your training to the next level? Fox Dance Academy’s Competition Team offers dedicated dancers the opportunity to grow their technique, performance quality, and confidence while competing at the Elite level. Auditioning dancers will be evaluated on technique, performance presence, and overall potential.

Audition Times

(Based on dancer’s age as of December 31, 2026)

Ages 5–7: 5:00–5:45 PM
Ages 8–10: 6:00–6:45 PM
Ages 11–13: 7:00–7:45 PM
Ages 14–19: 8:00–8:45 PM

What to Wear

All-black dance attire
Hair pulled out of the face and off the neck
Jazz shoes or turners only
Light makeup suggested for older dancers to support stage presence

Registration Required

All auditioning dancers must register in the Parent Portal or Fox Dance Academy App prior to auditions.
Additional details and audition information will be emailed closer to the audition date to families who are registered.
